What is it about the idea of a sale that makes us so excited? Sure, it means we save a few bucks, but maybe it's the notion that we've somehow got the upper hand on a retailer or merchant. I know from personal experience that if I even capture a glimpse of a 'On Sale' sign, I'm attracted to it like a bee to a flower.
